Side-by-side 3DS XL and 3DS comparisons with games running on their screens, in this case, Mario Kart 7 and Japan/Europe-only release Inazuma Eleven 2. Set the video to HD and full screen for the full effect.
From other photos I’ve seen, colors seem to appear more saturated on the 3DS XL’s top display, but I’ve read at least one complaint about XL screens possibly having a yellowish tint, an issue that Nintendo has chalked up in the past to LCD manufacturing issues.
Anyway, this video is from TriplePlay, a digital magazine dedicated to the 3DS. It seems like a great publication, but unfortunately it’s only for iPad and in German.

Adventure Time x Meteor Night, or at least I’d like to imagine that this is a mash-up of the Cartoon Network show with the fake stargazing game JC and I made up (with art from Ashley Davis!) for last year’s Famicase show.
Quick reminder: don’t forget about A Game By Its Cover, the indie competition challenging participants to create a game based on a fictional title’s artwork, like, say, Meteor Night. You have our permission to create something based on our idea, and a month left to enter the contest.
